What are our ministries?
OUTREACH... Everything we do has evangelism in mind. God's command is to reach and teach. So we strive to reach out to the lost around us with the gospel of Jesus Christ through every avenue and ministry. We have an active tract ministry where we create some of our own and our people take them and hand them out regularly. We as well go out witnessing on the street and door to door on Saturday morning at 10:00.
SUNDAY SCHOOL & BIBLE CLASSES... Every Sunday morning at 9:30 am we have a Sunday Teaching Time for all ages where there is opportunity to fellowship and the Word of God is taught faithfully and systematically to each age group. The classes available are... Pre-school, Children, Teen, Adult, New Beginnings. The New Beginnings Class is a 10 week rotating class designed for those who are new believers or new to our church where they can learn the basics of the faith and of what we believe.
NURSERY... We have the nursery available every service for newborn to 4 years. It is a safe place and we have loving nursery workers who will care for your child during the service.
CHILDREN... We have a Sunday School class designed especially for children with handouts and prizes. We also have a jr church service during the morning worship hour every Sunday morning at 10:30 am which includes a Bible lesson, crafts and usually puppets or a skit. We also have a Master Clubs program on Wednesday nights throughout the school year... see the "children's" page for more info!
TEENS... We have a Teen Bible Class for grades 7-12 during our Sunday School Time at 9:30 am on Sunday morning! This class includes practical Bible teaching for the teenager! There is also a monthly activity!
LADIES... Once a month or so there is a ladies night out at the church. They generally have some snacks, a craft, some good fellowship and a devotion. It is a great time for the ladies to be encouraged and get to know each other.
MEN... Every Sunday morning at 8:45 the men are invited to participate in our men's prayer meeting. During this time we pray for our church needs and the services on the Lord's Day. We occasionally have a men's prayer breakfast or activity as well. We also have a monthly "Leadership Meeting" for any man interested. This is where there is coffee, fellowship, a leadership lesson and prayer time.
SENIOR BEACONS... This is the 50+ age group. They meet once a month for fellowship and food. They also meet at additional times during the month for fellowship and projects during the day, as well as going out one Thursday a month to knock on doors and witness about Christ!
MUSIC... We have an adult choir which meets every Sunday at 5 pm and sings regularly at the services. We also have some soloists that sing during the services for the honor and glory of God and a guitarist who accompanies the congregational singing.
NEEDS... We lend a helping hand to church members and others who find themselves in need due to sickness, injury, etc. This could include meals, errands or rides. We also have a small food pantry available for church members as well as others who may have a need.
GROUNDS... We have a crew that offer their time to diligently keep the grounds operational and looking good through maintanance, lawn care, landscaping, etc. And they do so, "as unto the Lord".
